"I was sent here by two spells being cast at the same time. I have no idea how I am getting back home..." She sighed. "But I must take care of something first. IF I was sent to the future, then the person I was fighting is likely here too.'
Ridley let out a breath he wasn't aware he was holding in and moved to sit in one of his chairs.
"I work in a magic shop just up the street. I study plant magic..." Serafina smiled. "I probably should get my boss his coffee, but I'm mad at him, so I hope it's freezing when I get back."

"So... Are you planning on killing him?" Milo asked her casually.
Leopold smirked to himself and sat on the other chair. "Do you have anything to eat?" He asked.
Yawe laughed. "Is he that bad?" She asked, taking a sip.

"If I have too." She looked at him. "Is that a problem?"
Ridley blinked at him and then glanced at the small kitchen that consisted of a sink, two cupboards, a microwave, and a mini fridge. The he rummaged until he found his wallet in his back pocket. "I'll order something. Piz-... Italian or oriental food?"
"No, he's just currently doing something stupid." She puffed out her cheeks and put her chin on her hands. "And he's going to get someone killed."

He shrugged. "It's your issue. I don't know anything about it, I don't get to judge." He replied.
Leopold looked at him with a blank stare. "I don't know. Italy was an awful long way from home. And what is this oriental you speak of?"
Yawe looked at her with a serious look. "Uh... Literally killed? Isn't that dangerous? Shouldn't he be stopped then?"

"Thank you." She stood and looked around. "I am terribly hungry, but I would hate to put you out more..."
Nodding slowly, Ridley pulled his phone out and put it to his ear. "Hey Sal, can I get a large cheese? ... Shut up and just give me the pie." When he hung up, he stared at Leopold. "Asia? Like China and India and other countries?"
"As long as it's him, I get to tell him that I told him so." She shrugged and swirled around her coffee before finishing it.

Milo shrugged. I'm actually a tad peckish myself. Let's wait for Serafina to come back then I'll take you girls some place. My treat." He smiled warmly.
Leopold shook his head. "I have never heard of these places you speak of. Wherever they are, they must be far away from England."
Yawe raised an eyebrow. "You'd want your boss dead?" She asked. "Are you in some sort of trouble?"

She smiled back at him. "Thank you, you really are too kind. Over dinner you and Serafina can tell me more about this future world of yours."
"Yeah." Ridley said shortly with a harsh breath through his nose. "What were fighting when you got stuck here?"
"No! No! I don't want him dead. He just makes stupid choices and sometimes they're so stupid I wouldn't mourn him if he got killed because of it." She shrugged. "He's my best friend, but honestly he's an idiot."

Milo nodded. "You know, whatever people say, I don't think you are truly evil. Misunderstood? Maybe. Evil? Meh. People do bad things for good reasons. That doesn't make them bad in my book." He said. "That said, if you plan on hurting anyone who has nothing to do with this, I am afraid I'd have to try my very best to stop you."
Leopold frowned, crossing his arms. "A most terrible witch. Agatha Talbot. I nearly had her when our spells collided and the resulting explosion brought us here." He muttered.
Yawe chuckled. "I am more relieved. But why do you say he is going to die?" She asked, curious.

"I do not hurt those that have no need for me to hurt them. Many people were my enemy, in my time, but if magics are more accepted, then there should be very little need to attack members of your community." She smiled at him.
"Agatha Talbot, I've heard of her." Ridley looked over at him. "A lot of history books paint her as one of the most talented magic workers for any age."
"He's sort of harbouring the most terrifying witch of all history... Actually you were probably born around the time she went missing..."

Milo's expression softened. "Good. That's good to hear." He yawned. "Whew I'm spent. I might take a nap before dinner." He chuckled as he got up. "Feel free to join me in my bedroom if you feel like. Other than that, I ask you not to leave the shop." He told her, walking towards the door.
"A wicked, evil witch who has been plagued the region for ages." Leopold spat. "I was about to vanquish her from the face of these lands but, alas, I was foiled." He muttered, hatred tinging his voice.
Yawe's eyes widened. "Wait. Hold up. What do you mean?"

"I think I will go downstairs and see for myself what passes as magic supplies these days." She smiled at him, following him out of Serafina's room.
"What made her so terrible? You really seem to hate her?" Ridley stood up and frowned at him.
"She had a time travel accident and dissapeared from the late 16th century." Serafina shrugged.

"Suit yourself. If someone comes to buy anything, or you need something, wake me up." He told her, walking into his room and throwing himself backwards onto the bed and stretching.
"She's a user of dark magic and that's enough." Leopold replied bitterly. "She murdered, cheated, lied, cut down and burned everyone and everything standing in her way."
Yawe's ears twitched. "Wait. You mean... Agatha Talbot has resurfaced?!" Yawe gasped, looking at her bodyguard and exchanging a knowing glance. "Please, may I see her?! It's very important!" She asked urgently.

Agatha nodded and went downstairs, looking over the vials and books
Ridley tensed when Leopold mentioned dark magic, his hands balling into fists. "I get the hating the murder and the cheating... but what does it matter what kind of magic they use? I've seen holy mages reign more terror on people than some of the black mages I know."
Serafina blinked a few times but stared at the body guard. "Uh... sure..." She stood up and grabbed Milo's coffee. "Come on..."

"You shut your mouth! You don't know what you're talking about!" Leopold shouted, bolting upright. "The Order of the Holy Inquisitors is charged with prosecuting the dark arts and keeping ordinary citizens out of the hands of the dark arts! I will not have you besmirching its name nor my life's work!" He yelled, pointing an accusing finger at Ridley.
Yawe quickly got up and followed her out of the coffee shop. Agatha Talbot. I can't believe it. Fate has brought us back together once more.

Ridley shook his head. "The Holy Order has been disbanded for over a hundred years. When people found out how most of the knights behaved towards the women the captured, and saved, the people revolted. Black magic has been legal since, but still more policed than other types of magic. Times change."
Serafina lead her to the shop, opening the door and seeing Agatha looking through the potions cabinent behind the counter. The younger girl groaned and walked over. "Non-employees aren't allowed behind the counter."
Agatha opened her mouth to apologize, but then turned to Yawe. "Well hello there."

Leopold took a step back as if he had been slapped. "W-What do you mean?! The Holy Order is beyond reproach! How can black magic be allowed!?"
Yawe rushed to Agatha and hugged her tightly. "Agatha! Oh gods I am so happy I got to see you again!" She said, her voice muffled. "I thought you were gone forever! So this is where you wound up!"

"Maybe some of the members during your time, but sometimes things get corrupted..." Ridley took a deep breath and help his hand out, a black flame appearing in his open palm. "We need to be liscenced to use it, and the current magic enforcement keeps tabs on us."
Agatha looked taken aback as she rubbed her back gently. She thought for a moment and smiled. "You were one of the elflings that I saved all those years ago."

Leopold stared at it, taking a step back and tripping on the chair, falling back and slamming his back against the wall. "So... My whole live's work was useless..." He murmured as he slunk down to sit on the floor.
"I'm glad you still remember me." Yawe smiled brightly at her. "I was so worried! Are you okay? What happened?" She asked.

Ridley exstinguished the black flame. He squatted down in front of him. "When you were fighting witches, people feared magic and looked to men like you. Things changed, and people started fearing men like you and looked to magic. It's not that your life's work was useless, it's just not what people need anymore." There was a knock on the door and he stood up, walking over to it. He exchanged a few words and came back with a thin box, smelling of grease.
"Leopold Corte-Fiel." She sneered. "A spell of his and a spell of mine did not mix well, and we were both magiced to this time. I am fine, but when I find him, he won't be as lucky."

Leopold sighed and hung his head low. Ridley's words rang true but his heart didn't want to accept them. The scent of grease pulled him back to reality and he realized how hungry he was. "What is that...?" He asked in an undertone, nodding towards the box.
Yawe raised an eyebrow. "He's here? Rithvai above, Agatha, please do be careful." She sighed. "But boy, am I glad I noticed this cutie pie in the coffee shop line." She said, smiling at Serafina. "I would have probably never see you again otherwise."
Milo woke up with voices downstairs. Recognizing Serafina's, he rolled off the bed and went downstairs with a yawn. "Well hello everyone. My coffee?" He asked Serafina with a smile.
